Guys help how do I adult

So I’m making a budget because I’m planning to move out and I have no idea what I’m even doing.

My boyfriend and I are looking at apartments that are between 650 and 800/mo so I would have to pay half of that, and I’m highballing it and putting 500/mo in my budget. I also have to be prepared to pay the full cost for the extent of the lease if we break up and he moves out, or I move out or whatever. I would hope that even in he moved out he would pay his half for the rest of the lease and vice versa but I’m going worst case scenario.

So as it stands here is my budget of monthly expenses:

500/mo - Rent

60/mo - Birth Control (Which might go away soon because we have new insurance that will cover me to get an IUD, wheee!)

100/mo - Gas (because I might work in a place that’s far as fuck)

100/mo - phone (because fuck you t-mobile)

100/mo - groceries (can we pretend that’s reasonable or?)

100/mo - spending

130/mo - car insurance ):

??? - utility costs?

Grand Total: 1090/mo

So, all you followers who live on their own and give a shit enough can you critique this, and let me know if this is a reasonable budget/help fill in the blanks? I probably left shit out. Advice is welcome, I would love to hear how you guys do it because damn…

I’m such a child.
